Farming and Health Education

FHE is a refugee-led, youth-driven organization born in Kakuma Refugee Camp, Turkana County, Kenya—home to over 270,000 refugees and asylum seekers.
The organization was founded in April 2018 by Marcelin Munga, who began a simple kitchen garden to supplement his rations. When neighbors gathered to learn from his efforts, he realized the potential of collective action. With support from like-minded refugee youth, he turned a personal survival strategy into a movement for community resilience. FHE was officially registered in July 2021.
